Take a Tybee Beach Ecology Trip conducted by marine biologist Dr. Joe Richardson and enjoy both fun and educational experiences for all ages. The beach trips last about 2 hours and include:

  • Exploring tide pools and sandy intertidal habitats

The Tybee Lighthouse has been guiding mariners safely through the entrance to the Savannah River for over 270 years. The Tybee Island Light Station is one of America’s most intact having all of its historic support buildings on its five-acre site. The lighthouse stands 9 feet tall. Plan to take one of the small private tours after business hours. The tour last about ninety minutes and includes a climb to the top of the lighthouse to experience a beautiful Tybee Island sunset.
